Morpeth with the mother

I had kinda forgotten about this sneaky trip I took out to Morpeth with my mum when she came down from Port Macquarie for the day not too long ago. It was nice to get out of Newcastle and breathe in some fresh country air. I've been missing seeing old country towns like the one I grew up in where everything is still and the only movement you see is the plastic strips of general store entrances flapping calmly in the wind. We had coffee at a cute french inspired "Le Beau Café" and then wandered the high street finding treasures in every little shop we entered. We finished with a nice lunch of ploughman's board at Morpeth Sourdough and took some of the fresh bread home to our respective households at the end of the day.
