Shopping for the "essentials"

We did our grocery shopping at the market in Place Maubert this morning. It was hilarious watching the store vendors get upset/confused at Vicki persistently speaking in English and saying "I DON'T SPEAK FRENCH" in a hysterical manner. Fois gras, jambon, briquette (goat's cheese), beurre demi-sel, tomates cerises, fraises, framboises, creme fraiche, bordeaux, rosé, chocolat, le pain, et plus. We just went all out and then I pretty much wanted to cry a river over the delicious noms that were being had.

Spoiling yourself is definitely worth it here.
