Tourists of our own town
Though the last year has been a massive "shake up and wake up" for me, I still yearn for each and every day to bring something new, something rewarding. I like to think that at the moment things are going pretty well - I've got a job, a good home in a good location with good people whom I live with, and the sun is still out. The beach is close, the sleeves are short, the jackets are non existent. It's a strange sort of paradise. But I still yearn.
Photography, though I am not that great at it, is a real distraction and an outlet for me. It gives me reasons to go places and to see things differently. Tuesday night, Jake and I stepped out of the house after work and wandered along the harbour and foreshore, capturing the colours of the sunset and the angles of our city we'd never really considered before.
