Reset The Heart
She sat giddy beside him
Unaware for the first days
Then thirsty as always
For attention
A mention
A moment of tension
Stupid in worldly understanding
Of this moment and its handling
She should have prayed
Instead of having strayed
And allowed her mind to wander
Far off to mesmerising yonder
But he is good
Kind
A soul hard to find
And she wants that for herself
To not leave her Saviour on a shelf
And so she'll ask her Maker
This girl she is, to take her
And form with her heart something greater
That glorifies her Creator
That loves because He is love
And thinks of things above
This temperance
Tempted to dance
In her mind beyond the circumstance
And she'll tell you
She prays it doesn't fall through
An embarrassment
From enchantment
That stems from a heart that yearns for love.
